Hi there! If you're reading this, that means you've taken time out of your day to check me and my work out - so thank you!
I'm sure you already know this, but if not, my name is Arman Soheili; I am 22 years old and was born and raised in Surrey, British Columbia! Growing up, I was fortunate to have early access to videography and editing equipment at a young age, allowing me to explore the world of filming and editing. Since then, I have worked on many pieces; even won some awards! |
My Videography and Editing work
In high school, I took Media Arts as my selected arts course, and I do not regret it one bit! Throughout my high school career, I made many short films, documentaries and, in some cases, silly little video projects using green screens and other fun technologies.
"My Father" is my most notable film, winning the Top Junior Documentary award at the BC Students Film Festival (BCSFF) in 2017. Other works I participated in were submitted to competitions like the BCSFF, ZoomFest, and more.

I was offered admission to UBCO for a Bachelor of Arts in 2019, which I deferred until 2020. At the time, I was a full-time Biathlete ( XC Skiing and Rifle Shooting) and I had received an opportunity to train at the highest level that I could not surpass.
After graduation, I moved to Canmore, AB. Where I trained full-time for Two years on the Biathlon Alberta Training Center (BATC) Team; during this time, I got to really experience the high-performance athlete lifestyle, as well as I got to travel to some countries for competition before the pandemic hit.

Below is a video I created as a montage of a week of summer training. This video was created mid 2021.

Right after the pandemic started, I re-found the joy I had in Videography and Editing. I started my own freelance marketing company called Mud Dog Marketing shortly after and did small, contractual work for a few companies in order to expand my portfolio and gain experience in the marketing world. Most of my work consisted of social media work, such as Content Creation ( Physical and Digital,) Post Planning for Social Channels and Graphic Design.
After completing my second year at BATC, I decided to move to Kelowna, BC, in September 2021 to Pursue my studies full-time, on campus and in person. Since then, I have transferred out of the Arts Faculty and into the Bachelors of Management program with a focus on marketing. With some persuasion from my entrepreneurial spirit, I made this switch because, to me, learning and understanding how businesses operate is the key to success in my future career as a Marketer.

In addition to the volvo related content I make, I like to film, experiment and try out new things in my spare time!
In the two clips below, I decided to use the same video clips but change the songs, color gradings, and more to try to create two different vibes. Please note that the music used in these videos does contain language not suitable for younger audiences.
